The ecological crisis doesn't affect everyone equally. It hits those who already face other inequalities hardest by social class, race, ethnic origin and gender, affecting especially women and girls.
There are no one-size-fits-all solutions or cut-and-paste answers. Each territory has its own history, its challenges, and its people. Local communities are the ones who best understand their problems and, above all, their possibilities. Only with a comprehensive approach, one that recognizes ecosystems, life cycles, the value of the territory, and our eco-dependence, can we transform reality.
Without alliances, without collaborative work across sectors, without networks that support change, without a gender and ethnic-racial perspective, no transformation is possible.
It's time to act. Environmental justice is everyone's cause.
Our goal is to strengthen the defense of socio-environmental rights in Uruguay through financial and technical support to community groups and civil society initiatives.
WE PROMOTE
socio-environmental action from communities and territories.
WE SUPPORT
technically and we channel flexible financial resources to grassroots groups, collectives and communities working on territorial socio-environmental projects and initiatives.
WE CONNECT
articulated groups working on the same topic, in the same territory and with a gender perspective.
